The ExceleRate Illinois Pilot project is a joint effort between the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Development (GOECD) and the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) to test new supports for quality improvement. 38 licensed child care centers in CCAP Group 2 counties that serve at least 40% CCAP children are participating in the Pilot. The Pilot is funded through the federal Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five (PDG B-5) and helps the participating centers cover the staffing costs associated with higher quality, and revised ExceleRate standards will guide staff in their quality improvement work.

The information on this page is meant to be utilized by child care center participating in the Pilot.

Questions about the Pilot should be directed to Dr. Anita J. Rumage, ExceleRate Pilot Project Coordinator at the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Development: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
